Pet Day.

Pet Day, pet day is so cool. I like it so much but there were parts that I wish I could of participated in.

The hardest part about Pet day was the Pet Parade because it was boiling hot and we had to sit on the chairs for a long time and they would start to heat up so I would now and then go inside just to cool down a bit.

The easiest part was when we got to go and look at all the amazing art everybody had done and all the things they had created. It was interesting too to be honest.

The part I liked the most was looking at who came first, second, third and highly recommended.

Over all it was a super fun day. :)

Our Camp Menu.

This Term in Week 7 or 8 we are having Camp and our teachers assigned us to plan out what food we were going to take for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Dessert and will last us three days.

I found hard was getting ideas that our group will agree on because some of our group didn't like what someone writ down or somebody else will disagree with another but we managed to make it work some how.

I found easy coming up with good ideas that I thought were good for camp and fitting for it.

I can't wait for the fun activities that are going to happen at camp and the interesting new things I will learn on the way.

End of the Term Reflections.

This Term, Week 10 we always do an end of the reflections. An end of the term reflections is when you write about what you enjoyed mostly and how your term went. I like doing reflections because I can reflect on what I did the past year.

My Speech

My Speech.

On Thursday or Wednesday we had Speeches and I was super worried that we weren't allowed our Speech cards because I hadn't learnt it of by heart at the time. Gladly we were allowed them just in case we got stuck.

It was fun because I was glad I got it over and done with because I'm not used to speaking in big crowds but I was ok because it was only my class, The Principle, Mrs Mc Kibben ( AKA the judges ), and the parents listening.

I'm pretty proud of myself because I tried my best and I didn't cry and I knew I did it anyways. Over all it was fun saying it and fun listening to the other students speeches.

Cross Country Practice.

On Wednesday, a couple weeks ago we had Cross Country, I wasn't there for the actual Cross Country but I was there for the practice so i'll be talking about the Cross Country Practice. The most suprising part was how much laps we had to do and I was not happy with it but I had to do it anyway, I had no choice but it's my last year here might as well give it my best shot. I thought the hardest part was running the feild because our feild is huge and I'm not used to running  a lot. Over all I thought it was fun.

The Nose Know's.

Last week we were doing our Stem challenge was doing The Nose know's with Mrs Parsons ( AKA our teacher. ) Mrs Parsons gave us a sheet with instructions on what to do. All the bottles were labelled in letters. We had to grab one of the tiny bottles and smell them and try find the matching scent to it and we had found the two that match we would look at the letters and write them down side by side and write what the scent was. After that Mrs Parsons gave us the slide we had to do and post it on our blog.

I really thought doing it was a fun experiment and if I could, I would love to do it again.

Swim For Life.

This Term we were learning how to swim properly just in case something goes wrong while we were in the water. In this slide we were learning how to use life jackets properly in the water, Life jackets are really helpful when in the water because they help you float better and when you are with somebody but they aren't wearing a life jacket, you can help them float too.

I really enjoyed doing the dominoes because it was fun and we had to hold hands tightly and the person at the start would fall in the pool and then well they are falling in, they would pull the person next to them and it would keep repeating until it's done.

The hardest part was when three people will be linking hands and floating on their back and I was one of them, and two people will be laying on top of them also linking hands and all 5 of us were linking hands to stay together. It was hard because I had to kick my hardest and I was carrying someone on my stomach and it was slowing my energy down really fast.

Making sherbert.

Last week with one of our teachers, Matua Axel, for our Stem challenge we were making sherbert here in New Zealand, Sherbert isn't ice cream, it's something completely different.

I enjoyed making it the most because it involved a lot of experimental science, our teachers said to complete it we needed to think like scientists so we had to use some of our senses, Taste, smell and sight I think, and I thought it was fun.

I found hard doing the measurements because I'm not a maths lover and neither am I good at it, but I think I added more citric acid then the rest of the ingredients because I felt a sting at the back of my throat when I tasted it.

River and Atawai, Sugar crystals.

Today I was learning how to make Sugar crystals with my friend, Atawai.
I enjoyed seeing the what my Sugar crystal looked like everyday when I came to school, except for Monday. I loved fact on how the '' Supersaturated solution '' make it form into a Sugar crystal it's just so fascinating.
I found it challenging to put my sugar crystal in with the cup because the peg could just fit on the cup and I got a bit worried the crystal would shatter.
My digital learning object shows I can replace images, use the camera app, change text and backgrounds and embed my DLO in my blog.
Next time I would change the type of pegs we used so we I would be less worried if it was going to fall or not.

Alex, Paige, Nelson, and River's Solar Oven.

Today I was learning how to make a Solar oven with only 10 pieces of equipment!!
I enjoyed mostly making the Solar oven because I think I tried something new, it was really fun to make and if our oven ever doesn't work we have this and the sun to make our food.
I found it challenging to was on the part where you put the glad wrap on and tape it down is where me and my sister got a bit stuck because we weren't very gentle with the glad wrap and it kept of tearing and so we had to re start a few times on that part.
My digital learning object shows I can replace images, use the camera app, change text and backgrounds and embed my DLO in my blog.
Next time I would change the box a bit and paint it white maybe and make it look like an actual stove.

My paper rocket.

Today I was learning how to make a paper rocket out of 1 sheet of paper, tape, scissors, glue, and black and white felt tips.
I enjoyed drawing the rocket because drawing it is my favorite thing to do out of this whole entire thing as you can tell by looking at my blog I do a lot of drawing and that's because I want to be and artist when I grow up.
I found it challenging to make the straw because we don't have any straws through out our house so I made the straw out of tape and paper. The hardest part about was forming it into a circle because the paper kept on folding instead of doing what I wanted it to do.
My digital learning object shows I can replace images, use the camera app, change text and backgrounds and embed my DLO in my blog.
Next time I would change the colors and shape of my rocket and maybe by some straws to make it easier.

My post about me.

Today I was learning replace an image and how to change the background color easier.
I enjoyed knowing how to change the back ground color easier just by clicking the slide with 2 fingers and going to background and it makes it easier and writing a little bit about me was little bit fun.
I found it challenging to understand on how to replace the image because I didn't know how I would fit the picture of me in the circle until I read the information on the side to know how to do it.
My digital learning object shows I can replace images, use the camera app, change text and backgrounds and embed my DLO in my blog.
Next time I would change my picture and the font and maybe put a bit more details about me and who I am.

My online connect 4.

This term my teachers gave us a Stem challenge and it was to make an online Connect 4.
Today I was learning how to make an online game using digital shapes.
I enjoyed making the shapes and coloring because coloring is the funnest part and making the shapes are fun because you get to choose any shape you want.
I found it challenging to understand if I should make every shape rainbow but I realized that if all the shapes on the side were all rainbow we wouldn't know which one is which.
My digital learning object shows I can replace images, use the camera app, change text and backgrounds and embed my DLO in my blog.
Next time I would change some colors of the shapes and maybe do other shapes too.

My distance learning reflections.

This term my teachers have given me a slide about my distance learning from at home or school and they put 5 questions for us to answer.
I enjoyed answering the questions because it makes me think back on my learning and what I did.
My digital learning object shows my reflections on what I liked about distance learning and other stuff.
Next time I might change the fonts and the color of the bubbles to give it a bit more color.

My origami crown.

Today I was learning how to make an origami crown with 2 things and a bit of perseverance.
I enjoyed the folding the most because it's really fun and it's the easiest part to do.
I found it challenging to know where to glue and where not to glue because I there was certain places I thought needed gluing but actually didn't. I started realizing a lot of things during making this paper crown.
My digital learning object shows my daily challenge proof and what I learnt.
Next time I would change the paper because the paper I used was a bit like card board and because it would be easier to fold.

My S.T.E.M challenge.

This was really fun but extremely tiring. This in total took around 5 hours or more to draw and that's because I every detail takes a lot of work to do when coming to drawing, and I had to take breaks because I wanted and my mum said to take him out for a play and stuff. And also I didn't finish my daily challenge or art challenge because this one took way to long and I was getting really tired, and I didn't want to stuff up the rest of my work.
Today I was learning how to make a Tessalation using colored pencils or felts, a pencil, an black sharpie or felt or even an ink pen, paper and tape.
I enjoyed the coloring the most because I could play around with them and it's the funnest part when coming to a rainbow drawing.
I found it challenging to perverse and keep going because on how tired I was and how my hands were starting to hurt.
My digital learning object shows my artwork and about what happened and how I felt doing it.
Next time I would change it by putting the colors in a different order and maybe make a different shape.

My art challenges.

These art challenges were super fun and involved a lot of folding and coloring. The hardest and the one that took the longest was the Dragon because I had to cut the eyes, teeth, the squares on the tail, and the wings out carefully and it was quite a challenge.
Today I was learning how to make a finger puppet dragon, a pull card and animal book marks.
I enjoyed making the dragon the most because it was really fun and it looked cool when it was done and it was fun to cut and fold the paper too.
I found the dragon one challenging because I was getting stuck all the time and I had to rewind and see what you had to do and because I was getting confused on what to do.
My digital learning object shows my learning at home and some really cool folding art work I did.
Next time I would add some color to the pull card to a make it interesting and to a make one ore animal book mark.

Lock down Hero's.

Today I was learning how to create a medal using shapes and lines, and also learning about Lock down hero's.
I enjoyed making the medal especially coloring it and changing the fonts of my writing.
I found it challenging to come up with a person I was going to do the medal for, because I wanted it to be a specific person who has done well and deserves it.
My digital learning object shows digital art of my medal to my mum and why I am giving it to her and a bit about Lock down hero's.
Next time I would like to change the font of all the writing to make it look a bit more artistic.

My Quick write about the famous land marks.

This Week, everyday I was writing about famous landmarks. The one I liked best was the Statue of Liberty because it was super interesting to me how the 25 windows in the crown represent gemstones.
Today I was learning about 5 famous landmarks which are the Statue of Liberty, The great wall of china, Taj Mahal, Pyramid of giza and Machu Picchu.
I enjoyed finding out different facts about each different land mark and I thought it was super cool.
I found it challenging to find heaps of differnt facts for Taj Mahal and Machu picchu because there wasn't much facts that was for kids that I could understand.
My digital learning object shows different famous landmarks with facts about them.
