The Nose Know's.

Last week we were doing our Stem challenge was doing The Nose know's with Mrs Parsons ( AKA our teacher. ) Mrs Parsons gave us a sheet with instructions on what to do. All the bottles were labelled in letters. We had to grab one of the tiny bottles and smell them and try find the matching scent to it and we had found the two that match we would look at the letters and write them down side by side and write what the scent was. After that Mrs Parsons gave us the slide we had to do and post it on our blog.

I really thought doing it was a fun experiment and if I could, I would love to do it again.

Swim For Life.

This Term we were learning how to swim properly just in case something goes wrong while we were in the water. In this slide we were learning how to use life jackets properly in the water, Life jackets are really helpful when in the water because they help you float better and when you are with somebody but they aren't wearing a life jacket, you can help them float too.

I really enjoyed doing the dominoes because it was fun and we had to hold hands tightly and the person at the start would fall in the pool and then well they are falling in, they would pull the person next to them and it would keep repeating until it's done.

The hardest part was when three people will be linking hands and floating on their back and I was one of them, and two people will be laying on top of them also linking hands and all 5 of us were linking hands to stay together. It was hard because I had to kick my hardest and I was carrying someone on my stomach and it was slowing my energy down really fast.

Making sherbert.

Last week with one of our teachers, Matua Axel, for our Stem challenge we were making sherbert here in New Zealand, Sherbert isn't ice cream, it's something completely different.

I enjoyed making it the most because it involved a lot of experimental science, our teachers said to complete it we needed to think like scientists so we had to use some of our senses, Taste, smell and sight I think, and I thought it was fun.

I found hard doing the measurements because I'm not a maths lover and neither am I good at it, but I think I added more citric acid then the rest of the ingredients because I felt a sting at the back of my throat when I tasted it.

Good Friend Potion.

Last week we had to do an activity that our teachers gave us which was our Good friend potions.

I enjoyed writing down the things that had to be in my good friend potion and sadly I could only put in the words that were on the white board and it didn't have funny which I was really sad about, but it's fine.

I found hard knowing what to do at first because I had just come back from Netball the day we were doing it and I had no idea what to do until the teacher put and S.C up.

I found easy getting it done quick because I thought I was on task and I was in the zone just straight on trying to get it finished and my tactic worked so I use it most of the time now.
